Plants for sale

Provenance of plants - Please remember that nearly all of plants for sale here at the garden, have been grown by me here OUTSIDE or locally by well sourced expert growers.

Do not be confused by poor quality plants, served up by a lot of chain diy stores, a lot having been forced in greenhouses in Holland and the like.

My Cordylines and Trachycarpus palms for example have been growing outside since they were a few months old, and as such are well used to our climate.

The now 2/3 year old trachys, which are up to a foot tall, have been outside now for at least 2 winters.

Not only have they therefore acclimatised to our weather but they are more likely CHEAPER than the diy stores!!!!

Our Echiums that we sell are from seed that we have taken from our Echium forest.

People in the past have told me that they have brought these plants back from Tresco... no need for that now! In these days of the credit crunch, it is easy for us all to go to seek the lowest prices of things.

People often assume that the diy chains are best for this, but this is not always the case.
